About Me
Hi, my name is Katrina.
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and I care deeply about this work and the people I do it with.
I became a counsellor because I found therapy profoundly meaningful in my own life. As a client, I became fascinated by the way my therapist could listen, ask questions, and somehow help things fall into place. I found myself wanting to offer that to others. So, here I am.
I continue to learn—from clients, mentors, friends, artists, philosophers, nature, and everyday life. I don’t see people as fixed or fully knowable. We’re always changing, and that keeps me curious.
My approach is relational, explorative, and shaped by you. I draw from Gestalt and narrative therapies, but more than anything, I pay attention to you—what’s happening in the moment, how you experience yourself and the world around you, and what feels important to explore together.
Outside of this work, I feel most connected to myself when I’m near water, dancing, or spending time with people I love.
One of my mentors once told me something simple that has stayed with me: “Have fun with it.” He meant life, and all that comes with it. Alongside the depth and difficulty that can exist in therapy, I believe there is also room for humour, lightness, creativity, and joy.
